I volunteered to review an advanced reader copy of this book provided to me by the author. The version I read was neatly formatted and had few typos that I can recall. I found her almost lacking in intelligence and instinct compared to the first book.

The first book made her seem like a bad ass fight as well as a bad ass swordsman. This book; however, did not. I know she was in hiding but still. Aimee Easterling is most definitely among that rather elite group, and her Moon Marked series is a perfect example of why this is so.

I had intended to savor the remaining two books, Shadow Wolf Book 2 and Fox Blood Book 3 but once I started I found myself unable to stop and gobbled them up in one single sitting which went far too long into the night. Mai is with the pack now but things are not easy for her or for Gunner.

Her sister is at risk. The pack itself is at risk. Her disruptive impact is seemingly as feared. Trouble, twists and turns, adventure, excitement and romance all as promised and all done perfectly. This book is a serious page turner! Aimee Easterling's style of writing puts you right beside the characters to the point where all else fades away and you are running along with them, fighting to survive with them, and laughing and loving along with them. I love that while there are wolf shifters in this novel, there are also the Fox shifters. I love that we have a whole separate type of shifter involved. It makes me smile, I love foxes. I will suggest you read the first book of the series, WOL This book is a serious page turner! Although you can figure out what all is going on easily, I do believe you will enjoy it more after the first, However, I picked up in the middle of her other series before and had no issues at all.

She writes complete worlds in which the imagery flows into being. I am very excited to get the next book in the series because it is such a good group of characters, they become your friends, and your enemies.

This is one exciting, pulse racing, heart pounding, nailbiting, page turning tale that captivates from the start. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few glitches here and there make for one enjoyable experience. You get action packed, hard hitting, fast paced, thrilling rollercoaster ride of emotions and events.

The scenes are so descriptive and detailed it's easy to picture each scenario as it plays off one another perfectly. The characters are well developed and believable. Their personalities are unique with qualities that balance as it pulls this little treasure together beautifully. Aimee did an excellent job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Make sure you've read the first book in the series to really understand and enjoy this one. The second book picks up a little bit after the ending of the first with Mai and Kira settling into life within the werewolf pack. But Kira is mysteriously getting sicker and Mai is resisting accepting pack life. And to further complicate matters, Ransom returns and demands Gunner and his little pack return to the clan for a gathering. Mai's search for a solution to Kira's illness leads her right back to Make sure you've read the first book in the series to really understand and enjoy this one.

It is an entertaining and satisfying read and ends with a satisfying conclusion of many the plotlines while leaving enough open for a further book in the series. Please, please Mai would do just about anything for her sister, and Author Easterling does a wonderful job showing this. A solitary fox join up with a wolf pack? Deal with the court and foster system?

While the addition of the kitsune to This book picks up a while after the first in the series, and it does not disappoint! While the addition of the kitsune to the shifter world Author Easterling has created is fun, I find that for me, it also leaves many questions about the kitsune. Kai, Kira, Gunner, and the gang are still trying to figure out who has taken the star ball that belonged to the girls' mother, and why Kira seems to be growing weaker every day. On top of it all, Kai is still trying to keep custody of Kira and there is a hearing coming up to decide it all.

I do wish that Mia and Gunner would get a little closer, but there are more books to come. And, to tell the truth, I am sad at a couple of the events at the end. If I have one major criticism of these two books it's that the author didn't always provide information that would have helped better anchor me in the story she was trying to tell.

Like book one it had me hooked from beginning to end. I found it suspenseful and full of adventure. The story is well written with great characters! I love Mai and her sister Kira and following them on their journey to keep together and seeing their strength grow.

I reviewed book 3, Fox Blood, a month ago but just realised that I haven't reviewed this one, book 2. Ooops to me!! Mai is still trying to care for her younger sister, Kira. They are kitsunes were-foxes hanging out with a small pack of were-wolves led by Gunner. Something is wrong with Kira and Mai is searching for a reason and a cure while trying not to get attacked by other were-wolves. AND then there's the Master - a mystery related to Mai's mother. I really enjoy Aimee's books and writing I reviewed book 3, Fox Blood, a month ago but just realised that I haven't reviewed this one, book 2.

Kitsune, a marvellous addition to the pack Readers will enjoy this adventure and quickly warm up to a pair of orphaned fox shifters, kitsune, as they discover their abilities. Their lives seem to be torn apart and imperiled when they unexpectedly become embroiled in the competition for pack leadership of the local werewolf clan.

I really want to see what is next for the girls because of the ending of this book.
